  • I use to drink coffee to stay awake but I drank so much I hate it now. I drink rock stars and red bulls to stay awake too but am I just hurting my body?

  • Yeah.... those drinks really arent good for you. they give me a headache from heck. You should try eating one fo those power bars, or whole grain granola bars that are high in protein. Eating things for energy will give you a longer, more active feeling instead of drinking caffeine and energy dinks because drinks wear off too quickly and I also have a big head and am doing the cha-cha right now.

  • green tea!

  • ajust your sleep so you get up no more then 2 hours before you have to go to work

  • TEA - really STROING tea has more caffeine in it than coffee.... alternatively, are you looking after your blood sugar?! E.g junk food (choc bars and sugary cereal and white bread) will NOT sustain your energy levels - eat porridge and pumpernickel bread and wholegrains (brownbread, brown rice, wholemeal pasta) - etc.
    Good luck

  • Liquid form of vitamin b-12 will give you a noticable boost that will last longer than coffee and energy drinks and you won't "crash"...you can take lots of it without hurting yourself...doctors give women in labor shots of b-12 to help get them through the birthing process...also, honey is nice energizer (but won't last long)...

eat more protein and less carbs too, move around alot if you can to build up energy.

  • what to drink will only be a temporary solution. The important change to make will be your sleeping times.
If I were you, I'd use my time of starting work as 8AM, and work my entire schedule based on that principle.
i.e, about an hour and a half before work starts (the NEW 8am) that should be your wake up time, shower, change, etc. Then have breakfast and go to work.
Its a big change but your body needs that full 8 hours to do its cleansing and purification of your digestive system and the mind needs to shut off its conscious state so that the the sub-conscious can process the days events and memories.

and, Yes, my opinion is that you are harming your body

  • drink more water or something with a lot of B vitamins. propel has powder you can add to water . or get vitamin water

  • 1,3-Dimethylamylamine and Sulbutiamine are both excellent stimulants for shift work. I work nights myself and have use both on and off with no ill effects, no addiction and no mind altering effects like some other stimulants such as caffeine, apart from needing to sleep in a bit later on my day off to catch up. Do some research and consult a doctor first if you have any medical conditions etc before rushing off and buying any though.

  • ok your probably not sleeping enough in the day.. another thing is to exercise and drink alot of H20.. tea is a nice alternative.. just condition your body a little and it should pay off. Eat soups and other foods that won't cause your body to work too much.. that can cause sleepiness..
