How long is the list of former Cart/Champ Car venues that the .1RL has run at and then dropped like a bunch of Locusts?
It looks like Surfers can now be added to that list...............
The list of venues which formerly appeared on both CART and IRL schedules but do not appear on the ICS schedule now. It doesn't appear to be that long of a list.
Phoenix
New Hampshire
Gateway
Michigan
Nazareth (venue closed as an IRL track)
Fontana
WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...
Venues for ANY series come and go. Money is the primary reason, not preference. ANY series will add a venue on their schedule once a promoter and the series has agreed; same reason when it is not added on schedule. Promoting a race is very expensive especially street racing. Dealing with the city, the neighboorhood, the businesses are just the start.
So to answer your question, CART/CC dropped more races on their schedule than the IRL. That's not including the cancelled venues that they added on their own schedule. So now that IRL bought the bankrupt CC, why you made it sound that it's IRL's responsibility to keep CC's schedule? IRL will add whatever is financially and practical for the series. Surfers' was CC's deal, not IRL.
I was disappointed when they lost Road America
You've been doing too much farming, Jed
We need more IRL races. I have a friend on the board of directors out in Fontana, Ca they do hope to have a IRL race there in a couple yrs. We need more races thats for sure.

That fact actually entices me to watch IRL that much more. I like change. Enough of this crap that we should race "here" because we have been doing it for 1000 years. I say race where the most people want to see it.
