When I upgraded to Vista, I went to Local Disk in Computer (My Computer) and I found a file that said Windows.old, I recovered my files and stuff like only 4 videos, music, and some pics, that took up about like a GB or two, I have a 71.4 GB Drive, so when I recovered my pics and movies and etc, It said that I was running low on my disk space. (It was the same space avalible when I had my files in the Windows.old folder) and I had a strong feeling my computer is now holding the back-ups for my old XP files like the task bar, the login screen and more stuff like that. I have now cleared out my Windows.old folder and It gave me 2 GB, it was fun while it lasted, but I used that to get my programs back. Now I have less than 1 GB of space left on my computer. There was ALOT less space taken up before I switched to Vista. Can someone tell me how to get my 68 GB back???

Considering your screenshot, I'd assume that you have tons of oh.. I dunno.. possible illegal things on there? Also.. Vista takes up 4 gigs almost alone. Also, if you had a bunch of programs from before, they are still in your program files directory... Another thing is, is if you have system restore points enabled and recycle bin saving room for it, I'd check those, and empty recycle bin/make it smaller, and clear out old system restore points.
you either didn't empty your trash our you didnt delete everything out of windows.old

The Vista installation alone takes about 10GB of space where XP took about 2.5GB, so there's a chunk of space no longer available.
*Edit, first post is funny. It's amazing how fast space fills up for a pirate. Arrr!
