How can i create hair waves but not curls/ ringlets? people have told me to use hair rollers but the create curls not waves... is there another way??? Thanks
The easiest way to do this is to scrunch your hair while drying it on a low heat setting. You can also try twirling the hair around your fingers as you dry.
Rollers are a great way to create waves, but you need to ensure you're buying nice big rollers or you'll get curls. Pop them in and once you're set brush them out. This will create a nice, full bodied hollywood wave.
If you're looking for a more boho wave, you can pop your hair in thick braids before you go to bed, when you undo them in the morning you'll have nice boho-chick waves. Old school, but it works!
Good luck :)
how about a crimper?
=)

Check in the curling iron aisle at wal-mart or target. There is an iron specifically for making waves.
you could try pleating your hair when it is wet, then leaving it to dry, the smaller and tighter the pleats, the smaller the waves.
If you don't like that idea, dry blowdrying your hair with a diffuser then apply some surf salt hair spray, it gives you a natural tousled waves look.
Hope this helps.
Large perm rods.
