I am 18 years old and I am thinking of getting a tattoo in the memory of my mom. She died when i was 16 and i took it preety hard, my mom had 37 tats (u dont want to know where) but anyways all of them where done by my stepdad and he said i get my first tat for free.
I am seriously considering getting it. I was thinking of combining my moms fav things (the color purple, unicorns) i was thinking of a purple heart with a unicorn inside of it, or a unicorn horn on top of it with a banner beneath it that says her name. Its just an idea but anyways.
My step dayd will be extra carefull i know it, but im wonder were is the best place to put it where it wont hurt as much. i am ver y bad with neddles and any pain whatsoever. but its for my mom and i want to do it for her.
I was thinking my breast or my arm??? my breast because its fatty and not bony and its near my heart where she is always and forever.
How much does it hurt and whats the best place to put it???
I have one on my breast...Hurt REALLY bad...I have anoter on my shoulder that didn't hurt at all...
If it's for your Mom push thru the pain because the places you already mentioned getting it are places where it's more than likely to stretch if you ever gain or lose weight (think future pregnancy). So I would say get it on your back shoulder. Although there is a bone there and it will hurt, it will go better there. It's going to hurt no matter where you get it, especially if you don't like needles....Just don't get it under your arm, on your foot or on your neck. Those are the worst 3 places.
on your back , where your left shoulder is (because thats where your heart is) and maybe you should ask him what her fav tattoo was and get that with her name
Thats very sweet hun. I think you should get it on your breat, on the side you heart is, so that when people ask, you can say that your mom is always in your heart :)
Mine were all unpleasant but not horrible. One thing you have to remember is that tattoos are different for everyone. Some people they don't bother, and others can't stand it. If you are scared of needles then you should probably wait a while. However I wouldn't really say that getting a tattoo feels like a shot. It is more like someone cutting you with a knife when they are outlining. Good Luck!!! You can do it though, just remember to breathe!
i got my first tatt on my shoulder and it wasn't that bad.i like your ideas of what to get there very good.i would go with the shoulder
I am going to be honest./. I have several tats.. and I dont' like tats on a chicks boobs... just my personal input, there are alot who dont' care, or whatever, Just consider getting it somewhere you cant' see it in a wedding dress, and somewhere that won't stretch with age (like boob ;)
I'd say if you are going to get it for your mom, and it's personal, why not put it on your hip? or above your butt...
on your butt... just a few thoughts.. don't take them personally.

I had a friend who's mom died a couple of years ago, and she got a tattoo on her lower back with her mom's name and the dates of her life. It looks beautiful. She said it didn't hurt too badly and believe it or not it looks great on her lower back. That's definitely something to consider!
a heart and inside the heart there is 2 unicorns one a mommy unicorn and the baby or younger unicorn in a light shade of purple ... in the back around a sun set that has the colors of light to dark purples and everything forms a heart pattern ... but the heart doesn't have lines around the heart to make the shape but the back ground forms the heart..
also if u what to show it off have it on your lower back
Ok so I don't have a tatoo myself but I am getting one, its actually a memorial tatoo for my sister. I personally would get it on my breast because it is so fatty and close to your heart.
The pain isn't all that bad. depending on where u get it. I have 8 tattoos that are on my arms, chest, shoulder blades, leg by the ankel and my lower back. If it was me for me first tattoo I would either put it on my arm or ur chest. The Pain is depending on the person and how well u can take pain. Take something or someone with u when u get it done to distract u. U will feel some pain no matter where u get it but it's well worth it in the end. I personally think the pain feels like a cat scratch. But make sure it's a design that u want cause u'll have to live with it for the rest of ur life. Good luck and sorry to hear about ur mom
