Edward Cullen vs. Jacob Black is a popular topic among ladies who read Twilight and both guys have their pros and, let's face it, their cons. But what if you could create a guy who posses only their good traits?
Based on their personality alone, please share which traits from either Edward or Jacob you'd love your personal Edward Black to have. Feel free to add negative traits too if you wish and don't hesitate to use the handy Edit function should additional thoughts pop up in your mind.
Edward's devotion and Jacob's sense of humor would be my soulmate. :D
Edward: His intelligence, loyalty, looks, mature-ness and his humble attitude. Leave out his cold appearance (not literally), protectiveness, and jealousy.
Jacob: His fun-loving attitude, humor, selflessness, and persistence. Leave out his impulsiveness, his tendency to manipulate people and his immaturity.
Edit: Oh. Leave out Edward's lying streak too, and Jacob's competitive attitude and arrogance.
Edward's been losing his appeal lately. I don't like his unemotional attitude and the way he responds to demanding situations. Jacob seems more kindhearted and genuine. So, my ideal boyfriend would lean more towards the Jacob side, with a few traits from vampire boy.
I must say I love this question.

My ideal/perfect boyfriend would have to have Edwards looks and personality traits, but he'd have to be lacking in the overprotective nature- and willing to let me risk something (like Jacob). I'd also love that caring nature that Edward has to be part of the perfect boyfriend.
Stephanie Meyer did a fantastic job of creating the perfect contrasting characters between Edward & Jacob, she's brilliant.
Overall, I HAVE my Jacob Cullen.

Jacob Black Traits: I love the fact that he's got that cocky, overly confident edge to him, and he's got the tiniest bit of a jerky quality which is totally a turn on. And he seems like such a b.a., what with being a werewolf and a mechanic and whatnot. And I know you said personality alone, but can I please add the fact that he's really tall and muscular? And the fact that taylor lautner is playing him in the movie? AND the fact that he can keep me warm in the winter? Whether it's allowed or not, I'm adding it!!
Edward traits: I love how protective he could get, and how angry he would get when he was being protective. And he's usually so relaxed and chill and he also has a bit of over confidence to himself. He's such a gentleman too! It's hard to pinpoint what it is that I loved so much about him in the books, but he absolutely made me swoon! That, and the fact that he can keep me cold in the summer (I do NOT like to be overly hot at night....wink wink) Oh yeah, and the whole sexiest man alive thing could be a plus too. =D

Edwards Traits: he is just soooo perfectish that i dont know where to start. ok um he is such a gentleman and he would never to anything to hurt bella. i love that about him. Jacob hurts her feelings like all the time. and edward is so amazingly over protective. its so endearing. um he gives bella whatever she wants which is like the best thing you could ever ask for. jacob wants the things HE wants. like wanting bella to fall out of love with edward. how dumb is that? oh and the fact that he is exceedingly hot cant be missed. and he is rich. shallow, i know, but hey, its better than being poor.
